Hi Folks,
Well, here is the latest news, such as it is.
Mario is no longer with us. By mutual agreement he has decided to spend his time and energy with his own band and, therefore, will not have either, or the inclination, to contribute to Blackberry any longer. We, of course, wish him well and all success with his new project. We love him like the brother he is and thank him for all of his time, hard work, and contributions to our band.
As such, the search for a replacement begins. (Always fun...)
In the meantime we have some wonderful players filling in for us: Ron Rauso and Fred Scribner to mention two. Both have played with us before--Fred is the guitarist on the original CD--and we always look forward to seeing and hearing them.
The plans for the new CD continue (where, when, how, etc etc)...but, the bright side is we have more than enough new material ready to go and we keep writing more and more so...We hope to get it started very soon. We have already completed some tracks at Joe DeMaio's fantastic Shorefire Studios and hope to be able to do more there.
That's it for now. Looking forward to seeing you at some or all of the upcoming shows.
